Background
Patrick Tan is the Chief Executive Officer of the Firm and specialises in commercial litigation and dispute resolution, wealth and legacy management, and real estate. He is a Commissioner for Oaths, as well as an accredited Associate Mediator, appointed by the Singapore Mediation Centre and the Primary Dispute Resolution Centre of the Subordinate Courts of Singapore.
Patrick obtained his LL.B. (Hons) at the University of Nottingham. He received top honours, clinching several academic prizes in land law, company law and partnership law. Whilst at Nottingham, he served as an editor on the editorial boards of the university's law society and Malaysian and Singaporean Society.
Patrick is an appointed Teaching Fellow for the Singapore Bar Examinations by the Singapore Institute of Legal Education and a Tutor for the Legal Practice Management Course by the Law Society of Singapore. In a similar vein, he is a highly sought-after seminar speaker on wills and probate by a plethora of organisations ranging from multinational corporations and governmental bodies to charities and social welfare agencies.
In 2005, Patrick was nominated for the Spirit of Enterprise Award in Singapore for founding M/s Patrick Tan & Associates, as the Firm was then known.
Patrick speaks fluent English, Mandarin, Hokkien and Cantonese.

- Cross-border multi-million dollar credit recovery exercises for major golf resorts in Malaysia and Singapore.
- Representing a Singapore telecommunications company in the successful recovery of a land parcel for redevelopment.
- Representing public-listed companies in insolvency and liquidation legal proceedings.
- Representing minority shareholders in court action involving minority oppression, breach of trust and directors' fiduciary duties.
- Representing individuals in various high net worth legal proceedings involving complex estate and trust disputes.
