Background
Gloria is a Legal Associate in our Corporate Client Practice Group. She specialises in commercial litigation with a particular interest in medical and professional negligence practice. Gloria has an exclusive experience in litigation involving medical negligence and personal injury claims at all levels of the Singapore’s courts. She had also represented high net worth Chinese clients from Singapore, Taiwan and Hong Kong in cross contractual disputes.
Gloria obtained her LL.B. (Hons) at the University of Leicester. In 2002, Gloria published a Chinese book titled “Stepping Out of the Ivory Tower” which made her one of the youngest published authors in Singapore. She was also an award-winning student journalist with the local Chinese press.
Gloria joined the Firm in 2011 and speaks fluent English and Mandarin.

- Assisting in a 30-day High Court trial in relation to a high profile medical negligence claim against a prominent heart surgeon for the lack of informed consent for a heart bypass surgery.
- Assisting in an assessment of damages hearing in the High Court after the defendant and third party admitted to liability for causing severe brain injuries suffered by the plaintiff as a result of the hospital’s negligence during a dialysis session.
- Assisting in an assessment of damages hearing in the High Court in relation to a personal injury claim by the plaintiff following a whiplash injury after a motor accident.
- Assisting in a 30-day High Court trial representing minority shareholders in a court action involving minority oppression.
- Representing various overseas high net worth clients from Taiwan, Hong Kong and Australia in cross border and complex contractual disputes.
