Interns
Our Firm is open to all applications for internship from law students, as well as pre-university students intending to study law.
Doing an internship is one of the best ways to learn and experience first-hand the legal work that we do. Since we are a full-service Firm, interns can gain experience and valuable insights from the different areas of practice. Take this chance to develop a better understanding of the legal practice and its operations before you embark on your legal career.
An orientation programme will be organized for you on your first day of internship. You will be introduced to the members of the Firm and assigned a partner who will mentor and guide you throughout your internship period. You will have the opportunity to assist your mentor in client meetings and/or to Court hearings.
Examples of tasks you may be assigned include doing legal research, reviewing documents, taking minutes, drafting letters, court documents and/or contracts. You will also be asked to prepare a legal opinion based on facts similar to that of a real case, and may have to give a short presentation on the opinion.
He or she will also be able to follow and assist his or her mentor in client meetings and/or to Court hearings.
You are also encouraged to discuss with your mentor regarding any problems, difficulties or issues that may arise during your internship.
